You are moving out ? We will miss you :(

Please follow these easy steps to a painless move. 

*** Move out time is 9:00am on move out day *** 

Hello everyone
​
Now that you are moving out, please note that it was a pleasure knowing you all. 
Here are a couple of things to make the move out simple and easy for everyone.
 
VISITS - It is very important to know that, after you have given your notice, we are allowed to show your property without giving you a 24H notice. We will try to ensure that you do receive one, but we do not have to give you one.

All bedroom doors have to remain unlocked to ensure that we can properly show the unit to possible future tenants. Please make sure your unit is great shape and is not messy or dirty. We want to be able to show the future how great of a choice they are making by choosing your rental unit .  Remember the better your place looks, the quicker it will rent, and the least amount of interruptions  you will get. 

Repairs - We will be scheduling a visit with a trusted contractor. During this visit we will make a list of everything that needs to be done to update and bring back your property to move in condition.  If the repairs are normal wear and tear you will not be billed. If the property has been abused, then a bill for the repairs will be given to you.   We will schedule times with you for the contractor to come and do his work. 

Update Your Mailing Address
Once you leave, any mail sent to the property will be returned to the sender. To prevent mail returns, please update your address and contact information (ex: ASAP, credit card companies, subscription companies, employers, etc.) If you wish to have your mail forwarded to your new address, you can do so through Canada Post (Permanent Change of Address Service). 

CLEANING 
Clean your place of Residence As set out in your lease, you are responsible to leave the premise fit for immediate occupancy by a new tenant; clean, undamaged and with all personal contents removed. Please ensure:
o All belongings have been removed. All items have been cleared from all room doors, windows and walls.
** Any items left behind will be disposed of as garbage. **
o Take down all decorative items from the walls. Remove any sticky residue left on room doors, walls or floor(s).
o All room furniture, structures, drawers and storage areas are empty and clean. Put the furniture back in place.
o Cupboards must be empty and wiped out, remove shelf liners where possible.
o Appliances have been cleaned inside, outside and underneath. All foil removed from stove.
o House trash cans are emptied and washed out.
o Bathroom - tub, shower wall, sink, taps, toilet and floor are washed clean.
o Floors are swept and cleaned with a damp mop. Carpeted areas are vacuumed.
o All lights are turned off. o You are responsible for your place of residence until the final inventory is completed so make sure all doors and windows are closed, secured and locked.
o If you have painted the walls, they must be returned to the original color, which you can buy at the paint desk at Home depot, Color code Is –

Doorknobs If you have changed the doorknob on any of the doors they must be returned to the original ones. There is a $80 fee for anything not returned to the original item. 

Take Out Garbage NO garbage/refuse/personal belongings are to be left on the property on your final day of occupancy. This includes in the garbage bin, in the back of the house, in the garage or anywhere on the property. It is your responsibility to ensure that you take out it out on garbage day PRIOR to your departure.

Garbage:
Take advantage of the upcoming garbage days to clear out the excess garbage. 
 
Please note. If you have extra trash, or things you need to dispose of.   You can find people that will take away the garbage for a small fee on KIJIJI. 
 
If the house needs a good scrubbing ( and you don't have time ) , We can supply you with names of people you can pay to clean up the house. But please note that the house has the left in CLEAN and MOVE IN CONDITIONS or the next Group. 

Dumpster: Please note that we do have a dumpster available at 1015 Blair road. Its located at the end of the driveway,  "BAGS ONLY"  Any cardboard boxes should be broken down.

Damages: Please inform us of any damages ONE month prior to moving out. 

Any costs resulting from cleaning or damages will be attributed to the outgoing tenant(s). Properties that are not cleaned / returned to original paint colors / left damaged or left with missing supplies will be billed at 90.00$ an hour plus cost of materials. All costs associated with collecting the funds will be added to any amount owing. Amounts not paid, will be sent to DIXON Collection Agency at your expense.
